Secondary Actions for Map Tools

ExpertGPS allows you to quickly switch between map tools to speed up common tasks, like repositioning the map on a new location. By holding the Ctrl key, you can access the secondary action for each map tool. Release the Ctrl key to return to the map tool's primary function.

In addition, you can always move the map, no matter what tool you can currently using, by holding the Space Bar. Drag the map to a new location, and then release the Space Bar to return to your previous map tool and continue working.

Move Map Tool	Zoom Tool	Pan and zoom the map to recenter on a new location.
Zoom Tool	Move Map Tool	Pan and zoom the map to recenter on a new location.
Select Tool	Move Selected Tool	Select an item and move it to a new location.
Waypoint Tool
Route Tool	Move Map Tool	Pan the map when the route being drawn nears the edge of the screen.
Track Tool	Move Map Tool	Pan the map when the track being drawn nears the edge of the screen.
Shape Tool	Move Map Tool	Pan the map when the shape being drawn nears the edge of the screen.
Note Tool
Recenter Map Tool	Zoom Tool	Recenter and zoom the map to recenter on a new location.
Move Selected Tool	Select Tool	Select an item and move it to a new location.
