Cut, Copy, and Paste is one of the quickest ways to organize your data in ExpertGPS. You can cut waypoints, tracks, and other data from one file in ExpertGPS and paste it into a master file, or use the Cut command to delete data you no longer need.
You can also copy and paste data from Excel directly into the Waypoint List or Track List, and copy and paste delimited tables of data from any of the lists back into your spreadsheet.
The Cut command places a copy of the selected items on the Clipboard. The selected items are deleted.
A copy of the selected item will be placed on the Clipboard, and the item will be deleted.
The Copy command places a copy of the selected items on the Clipboard.
A copy of the selected items will be placed on the Clipboard.
The Paste command inserts copied items on the Clipboard into the document.
The contents of the Clipboard will be added to the document. When you paste data, ExpertGPS removes duplicate data so you don't end up with two of the same waypoints or tracks in one file. Because of this, copying and pasting an object on the map doesn't create a duplicate version. If you want to create multiple shapes of the same size on the map, you can copy the original, move the original to a new location, and then paste to create a second shape in the original location. Repeat as needed.
