The Place Label Here command moves the item's map label to a new location. For point items like waypoints and notes, the
label is placed at the cursor location. For linear items like routes, tracks, and shapes, the label is placed
at the marker. For closed routes, tracks, and shapes, the label is placed at the cursor position.
To move the label of a waypoint or note to a new point on the map, do the following:
View a map.
Select a single waypoint or note.
Then, do one of the following:
Right-click on the map at the position where you want the label to appear, and click Place Label Here.
Shift-click on the map (so that the item remains selected) at the position where you want the label to appear. On the Track menu, click Place Label Here.
The waypoint label will be drawn on the map with a line connecting the label to the graphic symbol at actual location of the waypoint.
To reset the position of a waypoint or note label on the map, do the following:
View a map.
Select a single waypoint or note.
Then, do one of the following:
Right-click on the selected item, and click Place Label Here.
