You can now select a polygon track or shape, right-click and use Grid Builder to construct a sampling grid of regularly-spaced points within the polygon, for timber cruises or other sampling.

ExpertGPS 6.17 - Aug 23, 2018
In offline mode, ExpertGPS displays zoomed-in versions of maps to fill in gaps in the current zoom level.
Added a zoom in button to the Send Map to GPS dialog, to let you easily choose an area to send to your GPS on a zoomed-out map, but send the higher-zoom-resolution maps to your GPS.
The Send Map to GPS command will now alert you if some of the map tiles need to be loaded before creating the custom map.
The "blue print box mode" of the Print Map command now shows the exact map tiles that will print when using the Zoom Level +1 or +2 options.

Home and End keys now move the track/shape marker to the beginning or end of the current segment.
Improved support for Garmin Alpha dog tracks.
ExpertGPS now automatically breaks up and renames Garmin GPX tracklogs which contain multiple recordings (separated by an hour or more).
Added Taiwan's TWD97 projections.
If you have multiple tracks that were recorded at the same time, using the arrow keys on the map to move the selected track marker will now show you the position at that instant of all the other tracks.
With a Garmin Astro, for example, you can see each dog's location relative to the hunter, or you can see everyone's progress through a race.
DXF Export now includes labels for tracks and shapes. Turn off layer "Shape Label" in your CAD software if you don't want to see them.
Corrected an error in the Grid Builder algorithm that reduced accuracy when used for large grid squares.
Fixed issue with Lowrance's latest changes to USR version 6 files.
Added more ways to quickly measure distance/bearing on the map:
 If the Active Point is set, that's used as the starting point for distance and bearing calcs.
 If a single waypoint/note/photo is selected, that point is used.
 If a track or shape is selected, the marker location is used.
 Otherwise, the last place you clicked on the map is used.
Clicking a track or shape with the Move Map tool selects it and sets the marker, making it easier to calculate distances to off-trail features.
Added workaround for mal-formed Lowrance USR files.
Real-time tracking now shows tracklogs for dogs using Garmin Alpha/Astro.
